Barcelona duo to miss second leg clash against PSG

Barcelona will suffer a major setback in their upcoming second-leg match against Paris Saint-Germain, with key players Sergi Roberto and Andreas Christensen set to miss out due to suspension.

Roberto, the team’s captain, found himself in hot water after gathering a yellow card during their dramatic first leg battle against PSG. The incident occurred in the 34th minute, when Roberto impeded Marco Asensio’s movement, drawing the ire of the match officials. As a result, he will be serving a suspension during the crucial home leg against PSG.

Christensen, who replaced De Jong, also got into trouble with the referees. In the 88th minute, he received a yellow card for a straightforward foul on Warren Zaire-Emery. Due to this unlucky booking, Christensen will be unable to play in the crucial encounter against PSG.

The absence of these key players has a big impact on Barcelona’s lineup, leaving them without their captain and an important defensive option. With the duo out of contention, Barcelona will have to rely on other players to step up and fill up the void.

In addition to Roberto and Christensen, five other Barcelona players are treading carefully on the disciplinary front. Ronald Araujo, Frenkie de Jong, Joao Felix, Lamine Yamal, and Ferran Torres are all on alert, knowing that another yellow card could see them facing similar consequences.

As Barcelona prepares for the decisive clash against PSG, they must exercise caution and discipline in their play to avoid further setbacks in their quest for UEFA Champions League glory.
