Sergino Dest is not interested in leaving Catalonia.

Barcelona have reportedly knocked back Chelsea’s interest in Sergiño Dest, with the defender content on continuing to develop at the Camp Nou.

According to the reports of SPORT, the USA international was one of the names discussed during a meeting between Barça president Joan Laporta and new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly on Thursday.

The Spanish club are interested in taking full-backs César Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso from Chelsea, who countered with interest in Dest.

The former Ajax man would seemingly be happy to play back-up right-back to Azpilicueta and is not interested in leaving Catalonia.

In addition to Dest’s wishes, Barça manager Xavi is also keen on having two players for each position, which makes the departure of Dest all the more unlikely.

Dest made 21 appearances in La Liga last season and he was regular under Xavi.
