Barcelona were dealt a huge blow in January when Luis Suarez was ruled out for 4 months.
They have attackers in Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann and Ansu Fati.
However, Fati is only 16 and cannot be expected to lead the line for Barcelona. As for Messi and Griezmann, neither are number nines as they prefer to play off one, according to Schuster.
“Barca has a significant problem with the absence of Luis Suarez; today neither Messi nor Griezmann wanted to play in the no.9 position.”
He went on to express his amazement at Barcelona signing Boateng last year.
“I never understood why they signed Boateng last season because he wasn’t even a forward. But Barca do need a Suarez replacement.”
Barcelona have been linked with the likes of Neymar but the move has been put on the dampener by PSG.
However, there is another PSG forward Barcelona could consider bringing in now with Suarez out.
It is Edinson Cavani – he has expressed his desire to leave the club and the club are officially working for a deal to sell the veteran.
