Alejandro Balde, a defender for Barcelona, is close to committing his long-term future to the team despite interest from Premier League powerhouse Chelsea

According to SPORT, the footballer will sign a new four-year contract that will keep him at Spotify Camp Nou until 2027 and include a €1 billion release clause. Despite their dire financial circumstances, the Catalan giants are eager to sign their best players to long-term contracts, and Balde is the next in line for an upgraded agreement. The 19-year-old, who progressed through Barcelona’s youth system, has swept La Liga and all of Europe since joining Xavi Hernandez’s first-team group only last summer.

With 20 starts in 23 league matches and five assists this season, he has wasted no time in dislodging club great Jordi Alba to establish himself as a regular starter. Alba has been reduced to the bench due to Balde’s performance, while Marcos Alonso—a natural left-back—has mostly played as a centre-half.

Chelsea has also expressed interest in the young phenom due to his impressive play, but Barca moved quickly to sign him to a new contract as his existing one was set to expire in the summer of 2024. However, given their troubles with La Liga and Financial Fair Play regulations, it is unclear if they will be able to register the young player for the upcoming season.

Balde was said to be leaving Camp Nou on loan last summer, but head coach Xavi stopped that, and the defender has paid back his manager’s trust. The young player has also received assurances from Barca that he would be enrolled with the other players who have extended their contracts. Additionally, he will continue to serve as a regular starter going forward.

Alba’s long-term future is now uncertain as a result of Balde’s renewal; the club is debating whether or not to sell the 34-year-old this summer. Alba wants to continue at the club despite having less playing time, but as Barca looks to balance their budget, the Spain international will have to take a wage reduction.

Barcelona are eyeing a move for former club player Thiago Alcantara.

The Spanish midfielder struggled with injuries since his move to Anfield in the summer of 2020.

He has been unavailable for Liverpool for the last 10 games with a hip problem.

The ex-Bayern Munich star’s fitness continues to trouble him this season and Liverpool have won only 4 out of those 10 games without him.

Thiago has missed 57 games due to injuries and he has not yet completed three seasons with the Reds.

The 31-year-old used to play for Barcelona’s senior team between 2009 and 2013 and was also a youth player for three years.

According to AS, the Catalan giants are keen to reunite with their former academy graduate this summer.

He made over 100 senior appearances for the Catalan outfit scoring 11 goals and providing 20 assists before making his move to Bayern Munich.

Despite his injuries, Thiago is still one of the most technical midfielders in Europe and his experience and quality can be an attest to that.

It is definitely not a bad idea for Barcelona to sign Thiago on a short-term contract.

This summer, Fiorentina would consider any bids made for their star player Sofyan Amrabat, according to his agent Mohamed Sinouh

After helping Morocco advance to the World Cup semifinals last year, the 26-year-old has gained much more notoriety. He also wanted to leave La Viola in the winter as he grew in stature and turned down a contract extension offer.

Numerous clubs made bids to Amrabat, but he had his heart set on Barcelona, who approached him about a loan on the final day of the January transfer window.

To his disappointment, Fiorentina rejected Blaugrana’s bid and insisted that the midfielder was not for sale, much to his dismay. However, given that his contract ends in the summer of 2024, La Viola might need to change their mind this summer. In order to avoid losing him for free at the end of his contract, they will be eager to sell him this summer.

Sinouh further disclosed that Amrabat was contacted by Manchester United earlier this year, but La Viola’s president blocked the Moroccan international from signing with Barcelona. Amrabat still aspires to play for Barca, according to the source, but the club is not in a strong financial position to sign him. While the Catalan giants are still unsure of their budget for the summer transfer window due to being constrained by La Liga’s FFP rules, Fiorentina may demand roughly €40 million.

Atletico Madrid, another Barcelona adversary, is keeping an eye on Amrabat’s position because Diego Simeone is rumoured to like the way he plays. La Viola has had a fantastic recent run, going unbeaten in their previous eight games across all competitions, thanks in large part to Amrabat.

The right-back, Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen is coveted by Barcelona and Bayern Munich

Due to his strong achievements this year, the Dutchman is catching the eye of several European clubs and may move during the summer transfer window. According to reports, Manchester United is interested in Frimpong but must compete with two formidable European foes. Both Barca and Bayerm are interested in Frimpong as they strive to expand their right-back options.

Jules Kounde and Ronald Araujo, both centre backs for the Catalan giants, have played right back this year. Sergi Roberto has also been used by the midfielder. Sergino Dest was loaned out to AC Milan, where he has underwhelmed. Barcelona will want to offload the American player and sign a new player.

However, given their financial predicament, they will find it difficult to raise the money needed to sign Frimpong. Additionally interested in Frimpong is Bayern. They enjoy signing opposition players and are familiar with him from the Bundesliga. As they want to send Joao Cancelo back to Manchester City at the conclusion of the season, the Bavarians require a second right-back.

Bayern will choose a player who is familiar with the league. Frimpong is one of the most exciting young players at offensive full-back. They form a terrifying duo on the right flank with Moussa Diaby.

In 26 games this season for Leverkusen, he has eight goals and six assists. The Manchester City academy graduate is a reliable if unspectacular defender, despite his defensive vulnerabilities. Leverkusen’s asking price for Frimpong is unknown, although it is most certainly going to be more over €35 million.

Inter Miami trying to lure Messi while Barcelona is yet to make a move

Even as Barcelona is still mentioned as a potential destination for Lionel Messi, MLS side Inter Miami are prepared to step up their efforts to acquire him from PSG

To entice Messi to the MLS this summer, Inter Miami is prepared to give him a share of the club. At the conclusion of the current campaign, the 35-year-old’s PSG contract will terminate. Although a one-year extension at the same salary is an option, he wants to learn about the team’s intentions for the following season before making a choice.

Messi isn’t sure if he will sign a new contract with PSG because the French champions are still unsure of who their manager will be or how their frontline will appear the following season. Clubs both inside and outside of Europe have expressed interest in it. Messi is believed to have declined a massive deal worth more than €400 million per year from Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal. Inter Miami is now attempting to entice him to relocate to the USA by giving him a share of the club’s equity because they do not want to fall behind.

According to the story, the David Beckham-owned team has been in discussions with the World Cup champions’ group for some time. The MLS has also spoken with Jorge Messi, the football icon’s father and representative. Inter Miami will face a challenge in their attempt to acquire the 35-year-old because he prefers to stay in Europe for at least another year.

The Independent story, which disputes assertions from Spanish and Argentine media, claims that Barcelona has not yet contacted Messi about a summer transfer. They haven’t even attempted to reach their former captain about a proposal, much less make a firm offer. There hasn’t yet been a formal approach from Barça, despite the fact that manager Xavi Hernandez has been in regular communication with Messi, according to the report. Additionally, the primary purpose of last month’s meeting between Joan Laporta and Jorge Messi was to discuss a memorial game for the 35-year-old.

The Premier League is rumoured to have a passing interest, but no firm proposals have come from them either. PSG, Al Hilal, and Inter Miami are the only teams to have formally proposed to Messi as of right now. However, rumours claim that Barcelona might make an approach to their club legend this week. There is a proposal worth €10 million per year being discussed, but until the FFP situation is resolved, there will be doubts about the Catalans’ capacity to sign him.

Future of Lionel Messi up in the air with PSG as Barcelona trying to bring their club legend back

Future of Lionel Messi up in the air with PSG as Barcelona trying to bring their club legend back

Barcelona’s dream of landing Messi is closer to becoming a reality.

The future of Lionel Messi is up in the air at present but his time at PSG looks to be coming to an end as the Catalan giants set about trying to bring the Argentian back.

The World Cup winner looked a little unmotivated in Paris and he wants to move from PSG. Barcelona have been working hard to try and bring the forward back to Spain as Messi is believed to be in contact with Xavi.

According to Ben Jacobs, Barcelona’s dream of landing Messi is closer to becoming a reality, especially compared to late last year when it appeared little more than a fantasy.

Writing in his exclusive column for CaughtOffside, Jacobs said about Messi’s future: “There is plenty of speculation flying around about Lionel Messi’s future so I think it helpful to reiterate one key point again: the notion of a Messi-PSG verbal agreement back in December is incorrect to my understanding.

“As things stand, there is less optimism around Messi staying than back in January even though a deal is not off.

“Barcelona meanwhile continue to fan the flames. President Joan Laporta told me the club has a “moral debt” to bring Messi back. Messi is in pretty regular contact with Xavi, who has also said they are “working on the topic”. And Sergi Roberto said after El Clasico, “Who wouldn’t be ready for Leo to come back?!”

“Barcelona’s economic vice-president Eduard Romeu has also revealed it would be “financially feasible” for Messi to return. Let’s see if La Liga agree should anything progress.

“As far as I am told there is still no formal offer, but Barcelona’s dream of landing Messi is closer to becoming a reality, especially compared to late last year when it appeared little more than a fantasy.”

Barcelona are in close contact with Lionel Messi’s camp over a possible return this summer.

The Argentine forward has been linked with a return to Camp Nou for some months now.

He will be out of his PSG contract by the end of this season and will need to decide on his future.

PSG have already tabled a contract extension for the World Cup winner even though Messi’s father held a meeting with Barcelona president Joan Laporta recently.

His ex-teammate Gerard Pique has sent a warning to his former employers Barcelona over Messi’s return.

“I know Rafa Yuste and how he is. He’s a very good person and he will always tell you what you want to hear,” he said.

“He’s a great person, and he is going to choose the right words to say what you like to hear.

“Obviously for all the culers it would be amazing for Leo Messi to return to Barça, but forcing situations too much I feel can be negative. I would let Messi’s return happen naturally, in the end, it will happen because I think both parties want it to happen.”

Before the summer transfer season opened, Barcelona received good news about one of their top targets, Lionel Messi

The Catalans have made it known that they would like to re-sign the Argentine when he becomes a free agent in the summer.

Leo signing a new contract with PSG for a period of two years had been expected for months. The player had begun to consider quitting the team in the summer, as suggested by Gerard Romero some time ago. Messi’s contract extension with PSG is now reportedly becoming more and more difficult, primarily because of financial concerns, according to GOAL.

Due to Financial Fair Play issues, PSG has requested him to take a pay cut, but the player is unwilling to do so for the French club. Additionally, he had concerns about PSG’s recent results and sporting endeavour.

Meanwhile, if he joins Barcelona, it has been said that Messi would be more than ready to take a pay cut. In addition to his reported earnings of about €10 million, he may also be given sponsorship and advertising deals. After speaking with Javier Tebas, Barcelona must find a way to make this move happen, but they are confident that they can make up for their losses once he joins the team.

They will also give him the #10 shirt that is presently worn by Ansu Fati because they anticipate huge jersey sales. However, given that they need to cut the wage bill by more than €200 million before the market opens, they haven’t yet made a formal offer to Messi.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Lionel Messi’s future is still up in the air as he must decide whether to remain at Paris Saint-Germain or go back to his cherished Barcelona

The Ligue 1 champions in Paris want the 35-year-old to sign a new deal before the end of the current season. There hasn’t been an obvious development since PSG’s sporting director Luis Campos announced last month that the club is in negotiations to extend Messi’s contract.

Barcelona wants the World Cup champion to come back, and the La Liga heavyweights are in touch with Messi’s team to talk about a possible comeback, according to the Catalan club’s vice president Rafael Yuste.

Messi is still one of the greatest players in the world of football, if not the best, and the World Cup champion could be a huge asset to Barcelona. Is dropping the Argentine into that a smart plan, though, given how well the Catalan club has performed in domestic competitions this year and how the team is progressing as a whole?

In 32 games this season, the World Cup winner has scored 18 goals and given another 17 assists, not counting his outstanding play for Argentina.

Messi’s football destination for the upcoming season is still unknown, but he is likely to remain in Europe because it will keep him in the best condition possible for the Copa America in 2024.

Ilkay Gundogan’s agent open up on his future

0

Ilkay Gundogan’s contract with Man City expires in the summer.

The former Borussia Dortmund midfielder is set to leave Etihad in the summer window when his contract expires.

He has featured in 31 games in all competitions for City this season and is still one of the crucial players in Guardiola’s system.

The 32-year-old midfielder remains physically and mentally fresh and has played pivotal roles in some of City’s biggest games this season.

Gundogan arrived in the Premier League in 2016 and has garnered over 290 appearances for the Cityzens in the last seven years.

He has won five Premier League trophies, one FA Cup and four League Cups in his seven-year spell.

He has been heavily linked with a move to Camp Nou this summer but his agent has dismissed any such rumours.

“There’s definitely no agreement yet with any club,” Gundogan’s agent said.

“The focus of Ilkay in recent weeks was only on Manchester City and the birth of his son.

“Now he is in the final and crucial phase of the season and is completely focused on that. Where Ilkay plays next season is still open.”
