Ronald Koeman has provided an update on the future of Ousmane Dembele.
The problematic but talented young winger might be off the club before the window shuts on October 5.
He was signed by Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund as a replacement for Neymar for a world-record fee.
However, a string of injuries, bad training habits, and a general lack of discipline have seen the player lose his touch as one of the more promising players in the world.
Now the new regime has seen things change and Barcelona might have plans to move him on. His new coach Ronald Koeman has said that the player is in his plans but his future rests with the club and the player.
Koeman said, “The first thing to say is that it is up to the club and to the player.
“But he is with us and as we’ve seen in recent weeks I am counting on him….he has to wait to play but he is training well, getting fitter.
“I want to say that I am counting on him.”
Manchester United are said to be one of the leading clubs who want him. They want him on loan but Barcelona want to include a hefty fee to buy the player at the end of the loan spell.
