The 31-year old striker joined Barcelona on a season-long loan.
The Dutch striker joined Blaugrana on loan after spending two seasons with Sevilla.
He was expected to train on Monday with the Barcelona squad and might be available for next week’s Champions League game against Bayern Munich.
Summer signing Sergio Aguero is currently on the sidelines and Barcelona desperately needed a striker to lead the line.
