Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, the goalie for Barcelona, recently extended his agreement with the team through 2028
The five-year contract for the German international includes a €500 million release clause. Ter Stegen, who joined the Catalan club in 2014 from Borussia Monchengladbach, has been a mainstay for many seasons. His form began to decline after a few outstanding seasons, but he found his form again last season, keeping 26 clean sheets in 38 La Liga games. He only gave up 18 goals. He has had a strong start to the new campaign, maintaining two shutouts in the defence of their La Liga championship.
Since his first appearance in September 2014, Ter Stegen has appeared in 379 games. He is fourth among all-time custodian appearances for the team. He’ll probably beat Andoni Zubizarreta, who has 410. Additionally, he might pass current record holder Victor Valdes (510).

According to ESPN, Ter Stegen’s previous deal had two years left, but they decided to renew it so he could postpone receiving payment, enabling Barca to acquire and enlist new players.

Another player who will fetch high salaries is Cancelo, which would further strain Barcelona’s already precarious finances.
With manager Xavi Hernandez proposing a new three-at-the-back configuration this season that necessitates marauding wing-backs, Cancelo will probably prosper in Barcelona.
