Pedri Hopes For Long Barcelona Stay

Pedri Gonazlez has been the talk of the town since his breakout campaign with Barcelona in 2020/21.

He is currently starring for Spain in the European Championships, cementing himself as a starter under Luis Enrique.

“I feel very valued and grateful to Barça, I hope to be at the club for a long time. Koeman, Xavi, Luis Enrique are coaches who like to have the ball so they suit Barcelona very well.”

Pedri played an important role throughout Spain’s Euro journey. Speaking on the last match against Switzerland, he said, “I would have taken a penalty against Switzerland had they let me. Which one? The one that nobody else wanted.”

“Luis de la Fuente spoke to me before announcing his squad for the Olympics. I love playing football, I’m thrilled to be able to continue playing, although I also understand Barcelona because I’ve played a lot of games. But I’ve told Barça that I’m going to return rested.”

On Messi, he added, “I hope he stays but it is his decision.”

Lionel Messi is currently grabbing headlines for Argentina. Head coach Scaloni said, “The best thing that can happen to us as football lovers is to enjoy Messi.

“I think even his opponents enjoy him, we’re talking about the best player of all time.”
