Barcelona wants a new striker at the club.
After Lionel Messi’s transfer to PSG, Barcelona are desperately on the market for a new striker.
Summer signing Sergio Aguero is injured and won’t be available for the next two months.
According to many reports, Barcelona wants to sell Martin Braithwaite and sign a striker from the Premier League.
Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette who is the final year of his contract could be used as a swap deal and Philippe Coutinho going the other way.
Barcelona needs a No.9 and Duncan Castles believes both the clubs could come to an agreement to swap Coutinho for Lacazette.
“One of those is a swap deal, Coutinho moving out of Barcelona to Arsenal and one of Alexandre Lacazette or Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang going in the other direction to Barcelona,” Castles said.
“I think it says a lot about the state of both clubs that this type of deal is even being considered at present. Barcelona want a number nine and they’re scouring the market and see the opportunity in that Arteta is not happy with those two players.”
