Xavi names the position Barcelona needs to improve immediately

Barcelona picked up a solid 3-1 win over Villarreal on Saturday.

The Blaugrana have secured six points from their last two games under new manage Xavi.

Late goals from Philippe Coutinho and Memphis Depay sealed the win in the dying minutes of the game.

The manager seems happy with the defence but he wants to improve in the final third of the field.

The Catalan giants will be aiming for a striker this January with Timo Werner and Edinson Cavani potential candidates to join Barcelona.

“Everyone will think in their own way, I’m happy with the defence, the pressure after losing the ball, and we’re missing the final third which is where games are lost,” Xavi told reporters.

“Daring more, getting to the box, daring with one-on-ones, but in general I’m quite satisfied with what I see on the pitch. We want to force our opposition into their own half and I think we’re achieving that, but we have to score and win games.”
