Barcelona chief Alemany insists they want Dembele to stay (BFC)

Dembele has appeared in only La Liga matches this term.

Barcelona sporting director Mateu Alemany wants Ousmane Dembele to stay. The attacker is planning to leave Camp Nou this summer.

Alemany admits the attacker will have to accept a pay cut for that to happen. The Frenchman will see his contract expiring at the end of the current season.

The 24-year-old attacker has appeared in 12 La Liga matches this term and netted just one goal.

Mateu Alemany said: “He and his agents have known for nearly a year what our position is.

“For us, he can stay, as long as it’s within sustainable salary limits and proportionate to his teammates.”
