Joao Cancelo’s agent has reportedly been in Barcelona for a summer move.
The Portuguese defender made a shock move from Man City to Bayern Munich on a six-month loan deal this January.
He immediately hit the ground running with the Bundesliga giants bagging an assist in each of his first two games.
The Bavarians have the option to make the deal permanent for around £61m.
But Bayern Munich are unlikely to make the deal permanent opening up the door for Barcelona.
His relationship with Pep Guardiola has been somewhat strained, so it’s unlikely he would kept at the Etihad beyond this summer.
Signing a right-back in the summer is currently at the top of Barcelona’s wishlist right now.
Cancelo’s agent Jorge Mendes was in Barcelona last week to discuss a move for his client this summer.
Xavi has credited interest in the Portuguese full-back viewing him as the ideal player for the Catalan giants.
