The information about Neymar moving to Barcelona keeps flowing

Only a few minutes before, French reports said that PSG had no intention of ending the Brazilian’s contract so that he could sign with Barcelona for nothing. According to one theory, the French champions would run afoul of UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations if they made such a deal.

However, Marcelo Bechler, a journalist who broke the story of Neymar’s world-record transfer to PSG back in 2017, has now released a new report that claims Barcelona is waiting for the forward to leave PSG. According to the update, the Blaugrana are confident in their ability to re-sign the superstar, who is 31 years old.

They anticipate that he would successfully negotiate the end of his contract with PSG and reject Saudi Arabia’s offers. Earlier today, sources in Spain said that Barcelona would offer Neymar a two-year deal worth €13 million per season, with an option for an additional year. However, according to the claim from Marcelo Bechler, the plan is for the La Liga winners to offer their former hero a brief, low-paying contract worth only one year.

It has already been confirmed that the former wonderkid of Santos FC would be ready to give up some of his pay to get a job back at Barça. Since last week, the Catalans are believed to have been in negotiations with Neymar, proposing a deal with a low income for the first year, followed by increases.

The club appears to be feeling very optimistic about re-signing the Brazilian international despite the fact that manager Xavi Hernandez is still undecided. Even still, there seems to be activity going on in the background regarding Neymar’s return to Barcelona, and a transfer will almost certainly happen if he and PSG agree to end his contract.
