Joan Laporta hopeful Lionel Messi will return to Barcelona one day.

Barcelona’s new signing Dani Alves has raised hopes of a sensational Lionel Messi someday.

Club’s new boss Xavi wanted Xavi to help him bring back winning ways at Barcelona.

Club president Joan Laporta has not ruled out the possibility of a Lionel Messi return and even Dani Alves he could lure away the Argentine from the French club.

Lionel Messi is currently struggling at PSG with knee and hamstring issues and his last game for the French club was two-and-a-half weeks ago.

Laporta on Lionel Messi’s return said: “I do not rule it out.

“It has happened with Dani, who has already said that age is just a number and has also made a significant financial effort to return.

“You are talking about two spectacular players, with Leo and Andres.

“I cannot predict the future, they are still playing.

“We will always keep them in mind, but at the moment they have current contracts with other clubs.

“You never know in life.”
