Deadline day was also a busy day for Barcelona. They confirmed the loan signing of Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid and it’s a good addition to Xavi’s side.

The Athletic reported earlier the Catalans had agreed a season-long loan for the 23-year-old forward. The deal does not include an option to buy.
The 23-year-old said in July he wanted to leave Atletico and join Barca and the club posted on social media a video that said: “His dream came true…”
Ansu Fati recently announced as a new Brighton player and Ousmane Dembele is already at PSG, President Laporta feels Xavi can bring out the best in Joao Felix for the season.
A statement from Barcelona reads: “FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement for the loan of the player Joao Felix until 30 June 2024. There is no option for a permanent transfer.
“The Club wishes to thank the player publicly for the financial effort made and his desire to wear the Barca shirt.”
