With Ousmane Dembele out injured, Barcelona is in search of a new striker – and Getafe’s Angel Rodriguez seems to fit the bill.

“What I know is what has been published in the press. There is nothing at the moment. I’m calm and focused on Getafe. I’m leaving everything on the pitch for this club, and as things stand, there is nothing,” Ángel said.

“When the news is about a huge club like Barcelona, the repercussions are bigger, but since they are just rumors, I’m very calm.

“If they contacted me, I would have time to think about things. I have been here after many transfer windows with Getafe, and there is always talk that I will leave. That means I’m doing things well.”

“We are facing one of the greatest teams in the world, and on top of that, on their own pitch. It will be very difficult, but we have to continue at this level to get three points and play a good game.”

The Getafe president cannot also not let him go – thus making his move to Barcelona faster.

“I could not refuse the move,” Getafe president Torres told Catalunya Radio, as cited by Marca.

“I have a good relationship with Barcelona and I have no problem with them. They have had the misfortune of having two strikers injured.
