Raheem Sterling has broken his silence regarding his future.

Manchester City are looking to get rid of the former Liverpool man with Arsenal pushing for his signature.

A dip in form last season suggested that Pep might offload one of his prized assets this summer,

The 26-year old managed to score only one goal in his last 16 appearances for City.

He insisted that he is focusing on the Euros and ignoring the speculation that’s been going around him.

“Do what they done before we had social media. Don’t check anything, don’t look at anything. That’s the most important thing,” he replied when asked by TalkSport how he deals with rumours.

Sterling has vowed to bounce back this summer who still has two years left to run on his City contract.

“I am feeling good. It is all about mentality. You can play a lot of games but if mentally you are not happy, if mentally you are down, okay the tournament could be physically demanding.

“But if you are happy and raring to go, that is the most important thing. It is where your head is at and mind space. And right now my mindset is smile and be happy.”

Miralem Pjanic Tightlipped Over Barcelona Future

Miralem Pjanic Tightlipped Over Barcelona Future

Miralem Pjanic remained coy on his Barcelona future despite ongoing rumours.

It is fair to say that the midfielders move from Juventus to Camp Nou has not quite worked out the way he had planned.

Pjanic went from being a starter and world-beater to a squad player under Ronald Koeman. And with increasing odds of Gini Wijnaldum heading over Barca, Pjanic’s minutes will only suffer more next season.

The Bosnian was signed for €60 million to add more experience and depth to Barca’s midfield. Arthur Melo headed the opposite way for €72 million but the Brazilian did not impress much either in Turin. Pjanic recently drew links to Chelsea with Thomas Tuchel looking at different midfield options in the transfer market.

“Leaving Barcelona? It’s difficult to talk about that now,” Pjanic said in an interview for Federalna TV.

“I’m enjoying the holidays with my family and that’s all I’m thinking about. The preparations for the new season start in July and then I’ll join up with the team. We’ll see what happens later on.”

Ronald Koeman has been assured his position at Camp Nou for one more season. He could even be handed an extension depending how he progresses throughout this campaign. That could end making a major difference in Pjanic’s Barca career.

Paris Saint-Germain are linked with a move for Lionel Messi.

The Argentine striker is yet to sign a new contract with the Catalan giants but he is expected to extend his contract in the summer.

PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi reminded Laporta that Messi was free to talk to any club to consider his viable options.

Last summer Messi expressed his desire to leave Camp Nou but a move failed to materialise.

“I told him that Messi was at the end of his contract and that all the clubs have the right to talk to him,” Al-Khelaifi told L’Equipe.

He added: “All the great players want to come to PSG and I say this to make things clear, not to answer about Messi.”

Nasser Al-Khelaifi also revealed that Barcelona tried to re-sign Neymar but failed in their efforts.

He said: “It was not difficult to reach an agreement. If the issue dragged on, it was due to the pandemic, but I never had doubts.]

“Despite the fact that the club you mention – referring to Barça – He tried to recruit Neymar until the end. Obviously, we rejected him.”

OFFICIAL: Sergio Aguero Signs With Barcelona Until 2023

Sergio Aguero got officially unveiled as the new Barcelona player on Monday.

The Argentine headed over from Manchester City after seeing out the Champions League season.

His transfer did not cost Barcelona a single penny due to his expiring contract. The prolific goalscorer instead, got a lucrative deal to play for Barcelona across two seasons. Ronald Koeman has demanded a proper number nine to be signed and now, he has got one.

Aguero’s track record is impeccable in his playing career. From tearing up La Liga across five seasons for Atletico Madrid to become a record goalscorer for Manchester City in the Premier League – he has done it all.

President, Joan Laporta said, “The signing of ‘Kun’ Agüero is because he is a desired player and an exceptional player. Because of his quality and the way he plays in our system, he will go well.

“The signing of ‘Kun’ Agüero is for ‘Kun’ Agüero, because we want a very competitive team. It is the first of a series of signings that you will get to know. Naturally, we want Messi to continue.”

Aguero hopes to play alongside Lionel Messi next season, his compatriot and close friend. The former said, “Of course I hope to play with Messi. What happens with Leo is a decision that he and the club will make. It is a pride to play with him. I’ve played with him in the national team. If he stays here, which I think he will, we will try to give our best for the club.

“I’ve spoken with Messi, I speak with him every day. But I can’t tell you what we talk about. The last message was that he congratulated me, but we continued to talk about other things, which I can’t share.”
