Before the January transfer window ends, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan are competing to capture Barcelona attacker Memphis Depay

Although talks are still going on and Depay is keen to joining Atletico, no agreement has yet been reached. There have also been rumours of a Marcelo Brozovic trade with Inter, with Barca manager Xavi apparently eager to sign the Croatian midfielder.

Depay may be more interested in moving to Atletico though, especially since the La Liga team needs to replace Joao Felix. Atletico Madrid is in severe need of offensive reinforcements as a result of the Portuguese star’s loan move to Chelsea till the end of the current campaign.

Depay has struggled to make an impact with Barca, but if given the chance to work for Atletico manager Diego Simeone, he might find new inspiration. Depay would join David Villa, Luis Suarez, and Antoine Griezmann in joining Atletico from Barcelona if he moved to the Wanda Metropolitano.

Before they finalised a loan deal for Burnley striker Wout Weghorst, Manchester United was connected to Depay. For the Dutchman, joining Atletico would make perfect sense because he would be a surefire starter given their present dearth of striker alternatives.

Only two La Liga appearances this season for the international from the Netherlands at Barcelona. Depay is the ideal choice for Atletico because he has 13 goals in 30 La Liga appearances and might believe he still has unfinished business in Spain.

Barcelona is looking at legal options to bring back Aubameyang

Barcelona is looking at legal options to bring back Aubameyang

The Catalans are looking into the prospect of bringing back Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, one of their former forwards.

Memphis Depay, who appears prepared to leave Camp Nou, is currently the subject of negotiations between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. Although Depay’s exit may not be particularly significant for Barcelona, it will undoubtedly leave a vacuum in the attacking area.

According to Telegraph, Barcelona is looking at legal options to bring in Aubameyang during the current transfer window in January. Aubameyang, who joined Chelsea in the summer, is only permitted to play for two teams under FIFA regulations. Therefore, the only team in a position to sign the forward during this January transfer window is Barcelona.

They might encounter a significant obstacle in their chase of Gabonese international, though. This is so that players who have had their RFEF licences cancelled aren’t able to get fresh ones the same season, according to La Liga’s rules.

Aubameyang cannot get a new licence to play for Barcelona in the league as a result of his La Liga registration being cancelled in the summer due to his transfer to Chelsea.

For the Catalans, who have few choices on the market for a replacement for Depay, this is a significant setback. To that purpose, Aubameyang was considered one of the best choices because the former Dortmund star had great success at Camp Nou in the second half of the previous season.

Barcelona is getting more and more optimistic that they can keep Memphis Depay after the January transfer deadline

After only having a little role at Camp Nou in 2022–2023, the Dutch international has been heavily connected with a potential exit from Barcelona in the winter transfer market.

Depay made a suggestion that he would be interested in leaving the team while on World Cup duty for 2022 last month, and La Blaugrana also plans to cut their payroll for 2023.

The 28-year-old forward’s contract in Catalonia expires at the end of the current campaign, and there is no likelihood of a renewal being offered this month. He is reportedly prepared to commit to Barcelona for the remainder of the season, according to sources from The Athletic, despite the continuous rumours regarding his next move.

Depay will have the opportunity to join any team for free this summer without having to pay a transfer fee if he stays at Barcelona.

The colchoneros’ offence has a vacancy when Joo Félix left for Chelsea, and Memphis has been one of the candidates mentioned. The attacker is eager to join a major club where he can play more often because he doesn’t receive much playing time for FC Barcelona. Additionally, the clubs get along well with one another.

In 2023, Barcelona may have to fight hard to land Wolves sensation Ruben Neves in a trade

As part of their long-term strategy to succeed Sergio Busquets at the club, La Blaugrana has been eyeing a potential deal for the Portuguese international at Molineux.

The 25-year-agent, old’s Jorge Mendes, is negotiating a contract between Wolves and Barcelona, according to prior reports from Mundo Deportivo. The Premier League club is seeking about €40 million for the player.

As Xavi reportedly wants a specific type of midfielder to replace Busquets, Newcastle United may now pounce on the opportunity.

Neves is reportedly in the final 18 months of his contract, and according to claims from the Daily Mail, Newcastle is keeping an eye on the issue as head coach Eddie Howe works to assemble a team that will be competitive at St. James’ Park in 2023. The Portuguese international has Premier League experience, which is something that manager Eddie Howe is interested in, and the Magpies are looking for a holding midfielder.

This month, Newcastle is keeping a “watching brief” on the market and won’t make a substantial move unless injuries force them to or a deal makes sense.

Memphis Depay is yet to play for Barcelona since returning from World Cup duty.

Memphis Depay is on the radar of Atletico Madrid and they might win the race. The Madrid giants are planning to sign the Barca man in the January transfer window after sending Joao Felix to Chelsea, Voetbal International reports.

Atletico are keen to bring the Dutchman to the Civitas Metropolitano on a loan deal after sending their Portuguese international to Stamford Bridge. Joao Felix recently made his debut for Chelsea.

After giving Felix to the Blues, Atletico Madrid are in need of depth in their attack, and Depay is thought to be high on their list for the rest of the season. There might be a few hurdles ahead if they are to sign the Netherlands international this month.

The 28-year-old forward is yet to play for Barcelona since returning from World Cup duty despite being named on the bench against Espanyol and Atletico Madrid.

Memphis Depay is an important player for Barcelona and Xavi would surely think about it. However, Barca are planning to resign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in this winter transfer window. Surprising element in the story is Atletico are also monitoring the Chelsea forward.

Barcelona want to re-sign Chelsea forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Aubameyang was outstanding for Barca in his short spell in 2022.

According to a fresh segment on Twitch, journalist Gerard Romero revealed that Barcelona wants to re-sign Chelsea forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

It has been added that the Catalan giants want to bring him back to the Nou Camp if either Memphis Depay or Franck Kessie leaves the club this month.

The Gabon international was outstanding for Barca in his short spell in 2022. He was one of the top scorers for the club. Meanwhile, he moved to Chelsea in the summer. He didn’t get regular games under Graham Potter. The veteran forward has scored three goals and provided one assist in 15 matches for Chelsea this season.

Aubameyang’s contract at Stamford Bridge will expire in the summer of 2024. Atletico Madrid is also interested in this player. After losing Felix to Chelsea, they might plan for this player.

Aubamayang scored 13 goals in 24 matches for Barcelona last season across all competitions. He can add depth to Xavi’s attack. It would be interesting to see how Xavi plan his signing as they already have Robert Lewandowski for a regular starting spot.

Ousmane Dembele is one of the Barcelona players to be sold this Summer!

Ousmane Dembele Barcelona transfer July 2022

The 24-year old French international will see his contract expiring at the end of this season. There has been constant negotiations over a contract renewal in the past few months. There has been constant discussion between the club and player’s camps to make a decision on the winger’s future.

He joined the Catalan giants back in 2017 from Borussia Dortmund for a £110million fee which turned out to be a disaster signing for Barca.

Earlier in January, Xavi also confirmed that Dembele will leave the club this year by saying: “We have to do what is best for the club. We are in a situation where we have to stop in our tracks, [director of football] Mateu Alemany has been talking with him and his representatives for five months.”

He added: “[Dembele] tells me he wants to continue – that’s a question for him. I couldn’t have been more clear. It has not disappointed me. It is a very difficult case.”

Dembele was brought in and in all seasons has failed miserably. There has been unfortunate injuries but he has not taken care of his body either. He has repeatedly been called out and exposed by the media for clubbing late, sleeping late, going out too much, missing training, and coming late for training almost on a daily basis.

They will want him gone come July but we do not see too many suitors for an ill-disciplined player like Dembele. Watch & Bet on Football =>

Memphis Depay is another Barca player to be sold this Summer!

Barcelona transfers July 2022: Top 3 Barcelona players to be sold in July 2022

Memphis Depay is a surprising name in this list but Barcelona looks clear on Depay ahead of the upcoming season. The Dutchman could make an exit in the summer.

Memphis joined from Lyon on a free transfer. He only signed a two-year deal, so the Catalan giants will be able to sell him.

Depay arrived at the club only last year but finds himself low considering other options after January’s transfer window. Xavi put priority on Ferran Torres, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Adama Traore.

Things will even get more tougher if Ansu Fati gets fit. Meanwhile, the club is also looking for a striker and Bayern’s superstar Robert Lewandowski is their utmost priority.

The Dutchman might take a call after not getting regular games under Xavi. Barcelona has already confirmed that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will stay. Former Arsenal striker is the 2nd leading goal-scorer for the club so he would be preferred on any striker.

The Netherlands international will want to play regularly ahead of the World Cup in Qatar. He is his national team’s focal point in attack.

Sergio Busquets is also on the Barcelona players to be sold list!

Busquets was found by former Barca head Pep Guardiola and it’s been a decade now. That was one of the golden eras of Barcelona when they achieved glories in all competitions. Busquets invented a new style of play for central defensive midfielders.

He was not the bulkiest man nor was he the most the silky dribbler. However, what he has was a presence of mind, a tactical understanding of the game and immaculate passing range, especially over short distances.

However, at 33, Busquets is no longer physically ready to implement what his quick thinking brain wants him to do. He often finds himself overloaded by opponents and although he still does have a brilliant mind and does play crucial knocks in between, it’s time for him to move on to the next chapter. Former Barcelona star Sergio Aguero to make a return to football this year

Aguero will feature for Barcelona de Guayaquil in their annual Noche Amarilla friendly game.

Former Barcelona star Sergio Aguero is making a surprising return to football in 2023. We all knew the story of this Argentine superstar who made a move to Barcelona from Man City and retired in his debut season.

The former Barcelona forward was forced to retire in 2021, following medical advice, just five games into his Camp Nou career.

He was withdrawn in Barca’s clash with Alaves in October 2021, after complaining of chest discomfort and breathing issues. He opted to call time on his incredible career earlier than expected, less than six months after signing for the Catalan Giants.

Aguero went to Qatar to cheer his nation and was part of Argentina’s celebration of winning the World Cup. The 34-year-old has hinted at a possible return to the pitch.

The 34-year-old has told fans he will feature for Ecuadorian side Barcelona de Guayaquil in their annual Noche Amarilla friendly game.

Noche Amarilla is a traditional friendly game played against different sides with this year’s tie featuring Orense on January 28.

“I am looking forward to Noche Amarilla, to have fun, and have a good time with the fans of Barcelona S.C,” he said.

“I’ve had check-ups from the cardiologist, I am very well and I have already started training, so I will be able to play in the Noche Amarilla.

“I hope to have fun and feel the pitch again.”

Xavi and Laporta are not on the same page while deciding Busquets’ future

One of La Masia and Barcelona’s greatest ever finds is Sergio Busquets

Of all the Catalan golden generation players, the defensive midfielder was the glue that bound them together into a single, unstoppable team. Fittingly, the club is having the hardest time finding a replacement for him as rumours of his departure spread.

It is now widely known that the veteran will leave when his contract expires. There are only five months left in his contract with Barcelona before he can leave as a free agent. But the Blaugranas don’t appear to know how to fill the looming hole.

According to rumours from MARCA, Joan Laporta is a huge fan of Ruben Neves of Wolverhampton Wanderers and believes that he would be the ideal Busquets successor. Additionally, the president enjoys a solid working relationship with Jorge Mendes, his agent, making it easy for him to complete the deal.

Xavi Hernandez, though, is not persuaded by the Portuguese International’s resume. The manager and athletic department view the midfielder as a conventional double pivot rather than someone who would fit into the single-pivot Catalan 4-3-3 style.

Martin Zubimendi, on the other hand, is what Xavi views as the best fit for his objectives. Only his €60 million release clause, which Barcelona cannot currently afford, would make the Spanish player available.
